Build your child’s Mandarin foundation through character recognition, play-based engagement, and storytelling, all in a joyful classroom setting.
Through music, sensory activities, and comforting routines, our playgroup introduces Mandarin in a stress-free, joyful setting. These are parent-accompanied sessions where your child will build familiarity and confidence in a nurturing environment.
We focus on nurturing oral confidence from an early age. Our students learn to listen, speak, and express themselves naturally through animated storytelling, group discussions, and singalong activities that make Mandarin lively and fun. Each lesson also builds reading recognition and vocabulary through hands-on, thematic activities.
These interactive sessions strengthen oral fluency and help your child begin forming independent Mandarin responses with confidence.
We guide our students to move from recognising characters to reading, speaking, and writing with confidence. Our lessons focus on clear pronunciation, structured character learning, and confidence-building practice.
To prepare students for Primary 1, our Hanyu Pinyin Mastery lessons use personification, visual cues, and interactive reinforcement to make learning memorable and fun. These techniques strengthen memory, boost early literacy, and help every child speak Mandarin accurately and confidently.
Our lessons reinforce what is taught in school while introducing skills-based modules that go beyond classroom learning.
Guided by MOE-curriculum, our experienced teachers ensure quality and consistency with national standards. Our lessons include PSLE-to-O-Level exam strategies, model answers, and techniques to approach each paper effectively.
Tell us where your child is struggling, and our teachers will help you chart a clear next step. Whether it’s PSLE prep, toddler exposure, or catch-up support, we’ll show you how we can help. Our team will reach out personally with the next recommended step with honest advice from real teachers.
Your child will have the opportunity to explore various learning stations tailored to different developmental areas. They can engage at their own pace while teachers provide individual support to enhance their fine and gross motor skills.
Our activities include specially crafted songs that feature repetitive vocabulary and melodic patterns. While enjoying music and rhythm, your child enhances their coordination and focus, reinforcing their engagement in the learning process.
Our educators use engaging narratives and teacher-led skits to reinforce vocabulary and themes, making memorisation enjoyable. Additionally, these activities instil moral lessons, enriching your child’s educational journey with important life values.
Your child’s senses are engaged through touching, smelling, and listening - enhancing their vocabulary as they link words to sensory experiences. This form of play promotes verbal expression, fostering language acquisition and communication skills.
Our curriculum captivates children’s curiosity through suspenseful storytelling, thought-provoking questions, and fun plot twists. Along the way, your child will naturally build new vocabulary and develop a deeper understanding of Chinese language structures.
We make Chinese learning fun for preschoolers by incorporating lively songs, dance movements, storytelling, and engaging rhymes. Through these interactive activities, children expand their vocabulary while enjoying language games that foster a love for Chinese.
We make recognising Chinese characters memorable through imaginative illustrations. This creative approach can help your child to connect with the language in a meaningful way, improving their ability to recognise and remember characters effortlessly.
We immerse your child in lessons designed to spark curiosity and encourage participation. This hands-on, multi-sensory approach is explored through poetry, character strokes, Hanyu PInyin, rhymes, riddles and tongue twisters.

Our teachers teach students how to plan, write, and speak with clarity and confidence. Lessons cover exam techniques, composition structure, and effective storytelling. Our students learn to use dialogue, emotions, and connectors to bring stories to life. Mock exams, oral recordings, and structured feedback help them perform with ease in every paper.
We help our students move to real understanding and tackle every paper with skill and clarity. Highly Recommend HUA Language Centre@ United Square I’d like to share my experience with HUA Language Centre. I currently have two children enrolled—one in K2 and the other in Primary 2. As they will be in SAP schools, preparing them well for Higher Chinese is important to us, and HUA has been instrumental in laying that foundation. I believe the early years are critical for building a strong language base, and HUA strikes a great balance between core skills and knowledge. From Hanyu Pinyin to stroke work, HUA has equipped my children with the tools they need to progress—while keeping lessons engaging and fun. Many children don’t find Chinese as approachable as English, often due to less exposure at home and in school. But HUA has developed creative and engaging methods to help preschoolers understand the why behind the language. Instead of just memorising words for spelling tests, my kids are learning the meaning, origin, and proper strokes of Chinese characters through flashcards, pictorial links, and storytelling. This makes a real difference. You can only memorise so much—but when a child understands how a Chinese character came to be, it stays with them. My P2 son is particularly strong in school, and I credit his genuine interest in the language to the positive influence of both his school and HUA teachers. Interest can be cultivated early. Resistance can be reduced when learning feels meaningful and enjoyable. HUA has been a wonderful fit for our family—working hand in hand with parents to balance academic goals with sparking curiosity. I’m happy to pen this review because credit should be given where it’s due. Thank you, HUA! Lee Brenda2025-03-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My child has been with Hua Language since the age of 3, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and engaging, creating an environment where my child truly looks forward to every single class. Recently, Hua Language introduced a new 2-hour elite program, which my child joined. Attending a school with a high standard in Chinese, this program has been instrumental in guiding her in the right direction. Thanks to the teacher’s outstanding teaching style, she has been able to apply what she’s learned effectively and performed well in her weighted assessment. I truly commend Hua Language for creating such a well-designed and thoughtful program. It not only encourages students to aim for higher standards but also makes their learning journey enjoyable, effective, and enriching. I am confident this program will continue to support and inspire many students. mengfei xu2025-02-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 3 boys have been with Hua since 2018. Never once have I heard them complain about having to attend the classes so I know they must enjoy them a lot. I place importance on having a good mandarin foundation from young, and I can see that my kids have achieved that from the classes at Hua.
Preschool, Primary
Coming from a non-chinese speaking background, I was bit reluctant to let my children take Mandarin as a Mother Tongue. I got introduced to Hua language and enrolled my daughter. To my surprise she started picking up the language. Clearly shows the dedication and enthusiasm of Teachers and the curriculum they follow which totally synchronises well with the school curriculum.
Thank you for all the endeavours.
Preschool, Primary
Our children have been attending Hua Language Centre since 18 months old and they have benefitted so much! Hua Language teachers are well trained and dedicated, so the children love attending classes. Both the curriculum and educational pedagogy are effective and meaningful, such that my children have language mastery in spite of being in a predominantly English linguistic environment. As language is a window to culture, Hua Language has opened a whole new world for my children in terms of heritage and important values. We cannot be more grateful for that!

The maximum class size is 6 for Playgroup, 10 for Nursery and 12 for all other levels.
Our Preschool curriculum references vocabulary that appears in the MOE primary school textbooks. In K2, we also teach children Hanyu Pinyin using personification techniques so they can have a head start at learning this abstract topic.
Our Primary school curriculum focuses on vocabulary in the MOE syllabus and vocabulary that are associated with these words. This is important for acing PSLE Paper 2 as questions often test a student’s ability to differentiate between contextual words and vocabulary.
Preschool: Help your child remember what they have learnt in class by revising our word cards with them at home. Revision can be done through games and QR codes of recommended Youtube songs corresponding to the lesson theme on our worksheets.
Primary School: Practice reading out loud to our Green Apple Reading Programme (青苹果文选). Created by Hua Language, this collection of fun short stories helps with revising vocabulary learnt and how they can be used in a sentence.
Our student’s progress is tracked on our student database so teachers can monitor how their students are performing. Primary and secondary school students also have termly mock exams to give students an idea of how well they have mastered the curriculum. The student’s progress is communicated to parents through progress reports or parent teacher meetings after every term.
Our primary school enrichment curriculum is a holistic programme that goes through all textbook vocabulary and exam question types. These include vocabulary and question types from the Higher Chinese syllabus.
For students who already have a good mastery of textbook vocabulary, we have an Elite class that allows students to learn at a faster pace and cover more extracurricular vocabulary.
For students who find it difficult to keep up with our enrichment curriculum, we recommend them to take two classes – one at the level they are in school, and one at the level below they are in school. This will help them catch up on vocabulary they should have mastered but have yet to master and also increase the amount of time spent interacting in school during the week.
