These interactive sessions strengthen oral fluency and help your child begin forming independent Mandarin responses with confidence.

What is the typical class size?

The maximum class size is 6 for Playgroup, 10 for Nursery and 12 for all other levels.

Our Preschool curriculum references vocabulary that appears in the MOE primary school textbooks. In K2, we also teach children Hanyu Pinyin using personification techniques so they can have a head start at learning this abstract topic.

Our Primary school curriculum focuses on vocabulary in the MOE syllabus and vocabulary that are associated with these words. This is important for acing PSLE Paper 2 as questions often test a student’s ability to differentiate between contextual words and vocabulary.

Preschool: Help your child remember what they have learnt in class by revising our word cards with them at home. Revision can be done through games and QR codes of recommended Youtube songs corresponding to the lesson theme on our worksheets.

Primary School: Practice reading out loud to our Green Apple Reading Programme (青苹果文选). Created by Hua Language, this collection of fun short stories helps with revising vocabulary learnt and how they can be used in a sentence.

Our student’s progress is tracked on our student database so teachers can monitor how their students are performing. Primary and secondary school students also have termly mock exams to give students an idea of how well they have mastered the curriculum. The student’s progress is communicated to parents through progress reports or parent teacher meetings after every term.

Our primary school enrichment curriculum is a holistic programme that goes through all textbook vocabulary and exam question types. These include vocabulary and question types from the Higher Chinese syllabus.

For students who already have a good mastery of textbook vocabulary, we have an Elite class that allows students to learn at a faster pace and cover more extracurricular vocabulary.

For students who find it difficult to keep up with our enrichment curriculum, we recommend them to take two classes – one at the level they are in school, and one at the level below they are in school. This will help them catch up on vocabulary they should have mastered but have yet to master and also increase the amount of time spent interacting in school during the week.
